General information about the publication

The TecnoHumanismo magazine is a multidisciplinary scientific-technical publication attached to the Center for Scientific Research & Production IDEOs, Miraflores Lima Peru. Due to its profile, dedicated to technology at the service of human beings, it accepts articles, national and foreign, with results of theoretical and applied research in the following areas: health sciences, social and political sciences, education sciences, communication, technical and applied sciences, natural sciences, arts and letters, economic and business sciences, mathematical sciences, computer sciences, biotechnology, blockchain, IoT and sports sciences; which will be grouped in each number according to the thematic area to which each one belongs. It has a monthly periodicity, although it can also present monographic and special numbers. Contributions must be original and unpublished works, which will be submitted to external evaluators and may not be nominated for other publications or publishing institutions simultaneously, except in the form of communication abstracts at congresses or other scientific meetings, in which case they must be referred.

TecnoHumanismo offers open, immediate and free access to all its content, based on the principle that this access to the public means granting a free path to access research, with the understanding that this free path helps and allows greater global exchange. of scientific knowledge. The intellectual protection of the authors is also guaranteed, who acknowledge the source and authorship of the data consulted and cited in their own research, in accordance with the protocols and universal standards of scientific research. The authors keep their copyright; In addition, they grant the TecnoHumanismo Magazine the right to publish the article, under the conditions established by it.

Responsibility of the editorial team

The editorial team is responsible for the application of its policy and management of the TecnoHumanismo Journal, whose editorial team is made up of the director, the editor, the editorial committee, the editorial board, the technical secretariat, the scientific advisory board, whose members are presented with their academic degrees, their names and their respective institutional affiliation.

Originality and unprecedented character

The investigations and publications of the TecnoHumanismo Magazine are original and unpublished articles, whose percentage of the content of the publication is less than 60% and corresponds to original research in the scientific and academic field.

Participation of authors outside the publishing entity

The authors of the research articles, published in the TecnoHumanismo Magazine, are invited, convened and outside the publishing entity: Center for Research and Scientific Production IDEOs; in the case of the publication of the members of the entity, the percentage should not be higher than 20% of the respective edition.

Archived

The magazine's technical team backs up all the articles every two months in the system's CLOUD; and every three months they are backed up again on the hard drive.

The journal has a DOI that guarantees conservation of the articles.

Readability in articles and interoperability

The Open Access policy of the journal allows the legibility of the articles and their metadata, promoting interoperability under the OAI-PMH open data and open source protocol. The files, both of the complete publications, as well as their segmentation by articles, are available openly in PDF, XML and HTML formats, which makes them easy to read on any device and computer platform.

Peer review process

TecnoHumanismo uses the arbitration system, whose purpose is to guarantee the quality of its publications:

  1. The articles are submitted to a review by external peers, in the double blind modality (double blind peer review), in a space and under the conditions of anonymity of the evaluators and the authors. The first (the evaluators) are specialists in the subject addressed in the article, they present the academic and professional qualifications; They have recognized and vast prestige, academic degrees of master's or doctorate, experience in research and publications in scientific journals.

  2. The Code of Ethics allows the teams: editorial, reviewers and authors to comply, with human and professional suitability, with the rules and conditions determined, to achieve the editing and publication process.

  3. In order to achieve and ensure the prevention and detection of plagiarism, the relevant software is used, which allows the detection of similarities or coincidences.

  4. During the review process it is verified:

    4.1. Compliance with the requirements, in accordance with the instructions given to the authors.

    4.2. The volume of matches is determined by the relevant report; 20% maximum accepted.

    4.3. The Editor presents his report to the Editorial Committee, which performs the pre-selection of articles, then refers them to peers for the corresponding review and evaluation, generating their publication opinion in the corresponding format.

    4.4. In their respective turn, the peer reviewers issue the corresponding opinion, registering one of the following decisions: a) Publish, b) Not Publish, c) Publish after modifications; in the latter case, the required and recommended corrections and modifications are made.

    4.5. If you do not present observations or after making the pertinent corrections, the Editorial Board declares the acceptance of the article.

For their part, readers, free of charge, can perform the following actions: download, store, print and distribute the publication of the final version of the article, non-profit, mentioning the respective source and authorship.

Peer Review Processing Fee

The fast-track review is optional and has a cost of USD 99.00 (Dollars)

With the payment of this fee, it is guaranteed that the peer review, the editorial decision, the notification to the author of the manuscript and the sending of the letter of acceptance, will be carried out in a maximum period of 2 weeks from the date in which the Editorial Board accepts your contribution.

This service is not subject to any type of discount except when the complete cancellation of any charge has been authorized for well-founded reasons, a decision that is made by the chief editor. Those interested in the service must send a message to the editor at the time the shipment is made.

Once the suitability of the article to be sent for review is determined; and if it meets all the formal characteristics required in the section on Directrices Para Autores, an email will be sent to you with payment instructions.

Item Processing Charges (APC)

If the submitted manuscript is accepted for publication in the journal, the author(s) will be required to pay the Article Processing Charge (APC). The journal charges its authors the amount of USD600.00 or S/.2400.00, which is distributed as follows: USD200.00 or S/.800.00 upon sending or receiving the manuscript, USD200.00 or S/.800.00 upon issuance of the acceptance letter, and USD200.00 or S/.800.00 upon publication of the scientific article.

Forms of scientific communication such as reviews, short essays, reflections, scientific notes and letters to the editor are exempt from payment.

Once your article is approved for publication, an email will be sent to you with payment instructions.

The acceptance letter will be sent after the payment has been made.

Tecnohumanismo Magazine accepts payment from public or private institutions on behalf of the author in order to facilitate the release of the scientific work to the public light.

The payment for article processing allows Revista Publicando to manage:

  • Peer evaluation, editing, correction, layout and publication of articles.

  • Verification of similarity or plagiarism in manuscripts through software for a fee.

  • Membership in Crossref and payment of DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

  • Layout, design and printing in HTML, PDF and EPUB with the respective paid software (Adobe Package, Microsoft Office Suite, among others).

  • Promotion on social platforms.

  • Expenses derived from financial management and logistics.

  • Website payment and added services (security, OJS maintenance, modules, Wordpress, etc.)

Fee Waiver Policy

The TecnoHumanismo Scientific Journal may apply discounts or admit exemption from payment. In these cases, your proposal must be substantiated and clearly establish the reasons and purpose of the research being presented. In case of not requesting it, the journal staff will assume that the author must pay the fee for publication.

The final decision on discounts and payment exemption rests with the Editorial Board.

The discount policies apply for the following cases:

  • Lead author made one or more reviews for the journal in the previous 12 months. The discount for reviewers of Revista Tecnohumanismo is 25%. This applies to a single manuscript and must be requested at the time of submission; applying only to payment for article processing fees (APC).
  • Main author is a member of the Editorial Board or the Academic Committee of Revista Publicando. The discount corresponds to 50% of the cost of the item. Applies to all manuscripts approved during the term of office; applying only to payment for article processing fees (APC).
  • Lead author is an undergraduate student. The discount corresponds to 40% of the cost of the item. This applies to a single manuscript and must be requested at the time of submission; applying only to payment for article processing fees (APC).
  • Lead author comes from a lower-middle income country or low-income country according to the World Bank classification (Ver). In these cases, the discount can be between 50% and the total exemption from the fee.
