Ethical Principles and Good Practices
The articles published in the TecnoHumanismo Journal are subject to compliance with the ethical principles contained in the different declarations and legislation on intellectual property and specific copyright of the country where the study was carried out. For this reason, researchers or authors of articles accepted for publication and presenting research results must download and sign the declaration of originality, assignment of rights and full compliance with ethical principles and specific legislation.
TecnoHumanismo Journal is governed by the ethics policies established by COPE and the ICMJE.
People rights
In order to submit a manuscript containing personal details or information of the patients, the authors must obtain their consent and permission to use the images and their data. The informed consent must be in writing so that you can present it to the Editorial Committee, in case of any conflict. No supplementary material or part of the article may be published that has not been accepted by the patient.
In addition, authors must follow and apply the WHO ethical code on human experiments and the ICMJE requirements for manuscripts submitted to Biomedical journals.
Ethical considerations in the manuscript
Within Material and methods, the manuscripts must contain information on: the informed consent of the patients who participated in the treatment or research, the current regulations for bioethical research and the approval of the Ethics Committee of the corresponding institution (in case it was not approved). necessary, the reason must be clarified).
The data and supplementary material must be properly anonymized to maintain patient confidentiality, so it is necessary that you blur or delete the information that does not correspond.
Informed consent and patient data
It is necessary to have the approval of the corresponding Ethics Committee and the informed consent of all patients or volunteers present in the articles. Authors should have a copy of the written consents and should only send them if requested by the Editorial Committee.
In the case of videos, figures and tables, the data must be correctly anonymized to maintain patient confidentiality, so it is necessary to blur or eliminate the information that does not correspond.
Conflicts of interest
Authors must inform, if any, their personal or financial relationship with entities or persons that could influence their manuscript.
Examples of conflicts of interest:
Be an employee of the organization.
Provide consulting services.
Scholarships or other types of financing.
It must also be informed within the letter if there are no conflicts of interest.
Plagiarism
Each manuscript is reviewed and controlled to assess plagiarism. Turnitin and Crossref online services are used. In case this practice is detected, the Editorial Committee will follow the procedures indicated in the COPE flowchart.
Contribution
The authors must declare that they participated in the preparation, design and writing of the manuscript, as well as in the acquisition, analysis and interpretation of the data. They must also confirm that everyone has approved the version that will finally be published.
Changes in authorship
When uploading your work in our system, you must add the names of the authors and their data in the correct order and clarify which author is in charge of the correspondence.
The additions, deletions or rearrangements of the members must be requested before the manuscript has been accepted and will only be implemented with the approval of the Editorial Committee.
To request such changes, the correspondent must send a letter with the justification of the reason and the approval of all the authors on the decision made.
Copyright and authors' rights
When you submit your manuscript, you will need to complete and sign this consent form in order to attach it to our system.
Copyright
TecnoHumanismo Journal is published under a Creative Commons License which allows authors to have rights over their publication and to be able to reuse it.
Funding source
In the event of having received an external funding source, the data of the institution(s) or organizations must be indicated and their role in the design, collection, analysis, writing and interpretation of the study described.
It must also be reported within the letter if there was no type of financing.
Duplicate Post
Duplicate publication is material that substantially matches a previous publication. Journal TecnoHumanismo will not evaluate any work whose content was published in whole or in part in another journal, even in another language.
Authors must make a statement to the Editorial Board about all previous submissions and reports that could be considered as duplicate publications of the same manuscript. Otherwise, it will be rejected and if the article has already been published, the Editors will follow the guidelines established in the COPE flowchart.
Admissible Secondary Publication
The secondary publication of the same article, in the same or another language, is justified with the approval of the Editors and only when it is a question of disseminating important information to the widest possible audience.
However, it is mandatory to comply with these conditions:
Authors must have permission from the Editors of both journals.
The Acta Editorial Committee must have access to the primary version.
The secondary article should be intended for a different group of readers.
The secondary version must accurately reflect the data and interpretations of the primary version.
Authors must add a footnote indicating that it has been published in whole or in part and must be cited in full.
The title of the secondary publication should indicate that it is from a primary publication: full or abridged publication or translation.
Articles made with the same database
In case of receiving manuscripts from independent research groups or from the same group that analyzes the same data (public database or systematic reviews), the manuscripts will be considered independently. This is because they may differ in their methods of analysis or conclusions. If said interpretation or conclusions are similar, the Editorial Committee will give preference to the manuscript presented first.
